Mr. Long’s practice consists primarily of general defense litigation and personal injury. Mr. Long’s experience in this capacity includes working on a team defending owners, operators and FBO’s in major aircraft incidents and an inland barge and shipping company concerning a collision and major oil spill in Galveston Bay and the Port of Port Arthur. Mr. Long’s admiralty experience also includes representing clients in a maritime collision, breach of contract, and personal injury matters and advising maritime corporations on their maintenance and cure obligations.

Mr. Long graduated from the University of Houston Law Center. He served as Head Senior Articles Editor on the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal, and his article, “The RIAA’s Case Against Ripping CDs: When Enough is Enough”, was selected for publication. While in law school, Mr. Long served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Frances H. Stacy, Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. Prior to law school, Mr. Long attended the University of Houston, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Mr. Long is an avid scouter and earned the prestigious Eagle Scout award. He has also served as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Houston area Boy Scouts.
