Jad Stepp

Jad J. Stepp is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas. He is also licensed in the Supreme Court of the United States, The United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and selected Federal District Courts in Texas. He attended The University of Texas as well as St. Mary’s University School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1980. After graduation, he served as  a Law Clerk for several Federal District Judges and thereafter was an adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University Galveston in Admiralty Law as well as Accounting. He has enjoyed a distinguished career as a trial lawyer in  Aviation cases,  Business Law/Probate litigation, Maritime litigation and Personal Injury trials. Those cases and resulting litigation have originated in the United States, Europe, South and Central America and Canada, and have been filed in courts in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico Illinois and California.

Mr. Stepp holds an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubble which is a peer review rating held by only 10% of attorney who exhibit the highest skill levels and integrity.  He has also achieved a 10 Rating by AVVO and has been Selected as a Lawyer of Distinction in Probate Law.  Mr. Stepp is a member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and The Texas Guardianship Association. He also is a member of the Real Estate Probate and Trust Law Section as well as the Litigation Section  of the State Bar of Texas.

Mr. Stepp is dedicated to helping his clients to achieve their goals in Estate Planning, Special Needs Planning, Guardianship and Probate. He focuses on each situation individually as he is keenly aware that each client and his or her needs  is unique. He has found it best to also include other professionals who his clients routinely rely upon in a team, such as insurance professionals, CPA’s and financial planners to achieve the finest plan and solutions possible.  Jad  is obviously no stranger to the courtroom, and also enjoys vigorously representing  his clients in litigation/trials involving probate, guardianship, trusts, fraudulent transfers, breach of fiduciary relationship and personal injury.  He also has earned his certification in mediation and will advise you if he feels a case is better resolved through mediation or a full trial.

Last but certainly not least, Jad has a passion for God, his family and his native Texas. He and his family reside in West Houston, and spend much of their free time in Brenham, Chappel Hill and Round Top. In his spare time Jad enjoys helping youth groups and the elderly through  through church  as well as photography, flying drones, and traveling.
