Dennis J. Sullivan
SHAREHOLDER
Dennis Sullivan is a shareholder with Stepp & Sullivan, P.C. in Houston. He has been dedicated to assisting his clients since 1991. Dennis is a proficient trial lawyer, who has over 25 years of experience in cases involving civil litigation matters, including family matters and personal injuries. He represents spouses in divorce actions, seeking to protect themselves from unreasonable asset and property distributions, unreasonable child custody requests, and individuals injured by the negligence of others, including catastrophic injuries.
Dennis has litigated cases in all four federal districts of Texas, as well as federal and state courts in Texas, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Florida, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Illinois. He has also successfully represented clients before administrative offices, courts, and appeal boards. He has successfully represented clients on numerous occasions before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit as well as state courts of appeal.
Dennis is a member of the Texas Bar Association and is licensed to practice before Texas State Courts, as well as Federal Courts in the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He received his BBA in finance in 1988 from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. He also attended St. Mary’s University Law School where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1991. From 1991 through 1992, he was the briefing attorney for the Honorable Charles Biel, Sixth Court of Appeals, Texas.
Dennis is a successful litigator and has been admitted to the million-dollar advocate’s forum as well as the multi-million dollar advocates forum. Dennis has also been selected by the American Institute of Trial Lawyers, as Litigator of the Year 2020.
Dennis has been married to Bonnie for 30 years and has two sons. He enjoys volunteering his time with different organizations, including a charter member of Knights of Columbus council 12327, past Den Leader and Scoutmaster at Boy Scout Troop 1180, past president Houston Propeller Club, and former board member Houston Aviation Advisory Counsel. He also is a supporter of high school and college rugby.
